Charlie Mahone would have loved his unabashedly Christian Memorial Service on March 31, 2022.  He was described as both tough and gentle, humorous, fearless, dedicated, God-fearing, and faith-filled, and highly accomplished.  Professional singers performed beautifully.  Preachers celebrated him.  Family and friends filled the chapel as did quite a few classmates from MacArthur.  It was an event steeped in solidarity, love, admiration, gratitude, and inspriation.  Hearing Sandra Dee share funny memories of her husband during the luncheon was a gift.

In attendance and representing MacArthur:  Mike Stephens, Eli (Bob) Huffman, Mike Burk, Lee Temple, David Ylitalo, Blaine Smith, Dan Terwelp, David Bodenman, Bill Leeper, Mike Bunger, Eddie Bunger, Al Hook, Gordon Cox, Marilyn Tucker, Carol Hans, Candy Marshall, Beverly Barrow Emmons, Norma Kalvelage, and Holly Harper.

So sorry I missed his service. Knew Charlie since we were kids. His parents lived a short distance from us on Jones-Maltsberger Road, right across the street from my grand-parents (May & Julius DeKunder). The Mahone family were regular customers in my parents grocery store. Charlie was a good guy and will be missed by all who knew him.
