Leon was born in San Antonio, TX, to Gloria Lee Hearn ( 1924-1968) and Joseph Hamilton Farris (1925-1997). He attended Douglas MacArthur High School. When Leon passed both is parents proceeded him in death and no next of kin could be located. Hillcrest Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas arranged for the pauper's burial. There may be no marker on the grave. He has a half sister, Ida Charlene Hall/Farris
